Just wondering why there are Gay Parades? You dont see straight people having parades like this. Why do Gay people have to show that they are Gay? There was a Gay parade in Dublin at the weekend and there have been pictures of it in the papers. But I am just wondering why do they have them?

yes but why do they have them? Why is it so important to have a parade for them? I jsut find it curious.

Cause ppl don't like gays and they want to pretend like there is no gays and ignore them. That's why some ppl like to hide that they are gays so they would be treated as the rest. Gay prides are made to show there are gays in the world for two reasons, in my opinion. One cause of ignorance of those who pretend there are not gays. And second, for those who hide it to show they are not alone. That may be their way to come our from the closet.

Imagine, the same, if media would tell there is no Michael's fans left anymore. Fans would come out on streets making vigils or parades whatever to show ppl they still exist.

I dont have anything against Gays or Gay Parades. Where I work there is 3 guys who are gay. One is very openly gay and the other 2 are not one of them is in a very high power maybe that is why he dosent want people to know. I seen a clip of the Dublin parade and some were showing off that they were gay just thought that was strange.
