Michael Jackson's deathbed, personal items to be auctioned

Hundreds of items from the Holmby Hills home of late pop legend Michael Jackson will be offered up for auction next month, the Associated Press reported Wednesday.

A list of the items includes the bed where Jackson died, as well as a chalkboard in the home’s kitchen where one of his children wrote, "I (heart) Daddy. SMILE, it's for free."

The chalkboard with the note is expected to fetch more than $400.

TIMELINE: The life of Michael Jackson

Also on the block for the Dec. 17 auction are upholstered chairs smudged with Jackson's makeup from the singer's “medication room, where evidence was collected for the trial of his personal physician, Conrad Murray.

Murray was found guilty Monday of involuntary manslaughter for providing Jackson with the powerful surgical anesthetic propofol to help him sleep as he rehearsed for his comeback.

Its just awful that things like a bed where someone died in and a chalk board would fetch so much money. I just hope that no one buys this stuff and that would show them how low they have gone and that no one is intersted in buying this stuff.

"Re: Michael Jackson's bed and contents of Carolwood Drive Home auction, Darren Julien (President/CEO at Julien’s Auctions) confirmed to MJJMAGAZINE team the following:

«Out of respect I have told you we are going to pull the bed from the auction. We don’t want to lose fans' trust. You can tell the fans that it will not be sold and that I am sorry. I will pull it from the auction.. It will not be posted online when we post the auction and I will make a public announcement at some point in time but you have my word that it will not be sold. I don’t care how much money it is worth. Thanks again for believing in us and we will always do the right thing.»

Michael Jackson's deathbed frame no longer up for auction

The headboard to the bed where Michael Jackson died will not be auctioned off as originally planned, said the auctioneer hired by the late singer’s estate.

“We received a request from the estate,” said Darren Julien, of Julien’s Auctions.

The mattresses to the bed were never to be auctioned, as they were removed as evidence shortly after the singer died.

The Beverly Hills auction house will hold a public viewing Dec. 12 to 17 of the contents of the Holmby Hills house where Jackson died. The auction will take place Dec. 17 at the company’s gallery on Wilshire Boulevard.

Scheduled to be auctioned is everything from high-priced paintings to candles and silverware.

The bed frame is all that has been pulled, Julien said.

“Everything else will go on as scheduled,” he said.

Michael Jackson Auction: Over 600 Household Items For Sale

Posted Image
This morning on the "Today Show," a segment about the 600 or so items being auctioned off by the opportunistic owners of the Los Angeles estate Michael Jackson rented the year before his death yielded something rather interesting: The King of Pop enjoyed drawing all over his furniture. In fact, the auctioneers from Julien's Auctions told Ann Curry that this was something Jackson commonly did at home, in rented homes (as in this case) and even when traveling through hotel rooms.

Among items shown were a wooden shower bench marked up with stick-figure drawings and a mirrored armoire that bears this inscription courtesy of Michael: "Train perfection March April May. Full Out." The armoire originally cost somewhere between $6,000-$8,000, the auctioneers estimate, but tell Curry that "because it was owned by Michael, it will be a lot more."

Apparently the tagging gene runs in the family: a separate item for sale in the auction is a chunky wax candle scrawled into by none other than Jackson's son Prince.

VIDEO: Fans Get To See Michael Jackson’s Armoire

Grand Home Furnishings has acquired a highly sought after piece of Michael Jackson’s furniture. It’s an 8 x 10 armoire from one of his Los Angeles homes.

The public got a peek for the first time Saturday, and it was a packed house. The armoire was purchased mid-December and it arrived in Roanoke on Tuesday.

There’s a very special message Jackson wrote on the armoire’s mirror, one that is causing lots of buzz.

The words on the armoire’s mirror say “train perfection, March, April Full out May.” It is a message Michael Jackson wrote to himself, and it’s one fans say they won’t soon forget.

Oh that's great :D. Looks like some furniture shop bought those items. Thing is that mirror doesn't even belong to Michael. It came with his rented house.
