Yesterday one months rain fell in one day. Its soomething which Ireland hasnt seen since 1986. Here is a video showing a shopping center in Dublin and the river near by had busrt its banks. The water is coming in the windows of the first floor of the shopping center.

wow, that's lots of water!
We heard that there also were floods in Rome one day after we arrived. That's why two theatres missed the opening ceremony.

Oh no thats awful. Two people died in Dublin from the floods one woman drowned in her basement flat when water came in and a 25 year old off duty police man was swept away after he went to direct traffic away from a dangerous flooded area
