Michael Jackson artwork to be donated to L.A. Children's Hospital

Michael Jackson's mother and his three children will present 13 pieces of art created by the late pop legend to Children's Hospital Los Angeles on Monday afternoon.

Artist Brett Livingstone-Strong, a close friend who Jackson once called a "modern-day Michelangelo," offered to donate the pieces to the hospital, hospital spokeswoman Lyndsay LaGree said. Some of the works are signed by Jackson.

The pieces will be unveiled by Katherine Jackson and the singer's three children –- Prince Michael, Paris and Blanket –- at a 2:30 p.m. ceremony at the hospital. Other members of the Jackson family will also be in attendance, along with Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, hospital CEO Richard Cordova and trustee Mary Hart.

The artwork will be installed throughout the hospital after an art board determines where the pieces should be displayed, LaGree said.

Michael Jackson's kids, along with grandmother Katherine Jackson, helped honor the late performer today as they unveiled 10 of his own artworks to the Children's Hospital Los Angeles.

Prince Michael, 14, Paris, 13, and Blanket, 9, all attended the private ceremony, which also included Children's Hospital Los Angeles Trustee Mary Hart and Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. The event helped to present the hospital with MJ's unique and beautiful artwork, which were personally selected by the kids. As for the art themselves, they were considered gifts from artist and long-time friend of Michael Jackson, Brett-Livingstone Strong.

"He often dreamed of having an exhibit," Strong stated. "I think that having his work in the Children's Hospital is such an honor."

Oh I love the pics thanks for sharing them. Michaels kids are getting older these days. I like the paintings too Michael had some interest in chairs. Did you notice that 3 of them were of chairs?
