Janet Jackson released a book earlier this year and I got a copy of it recently. I have just finished reading the book and I found it very interesting. From a very young age Janet had issues with her body. Family members and people around her told her that she was fat or that her bum was too big. Janets parents Joe and Katherine were very protective of her and were strict too. Also the family werent as close as I thought. During the 90's when Janet was at the highest in her career and she was topping the charts she was at her lowest point and suffered depression at this time. She hated the way she looked her boyfriend Jermaine Dupri would tell her how beautiful she was but she couldnt see it herself. Over the years she has learned to control her diet and exercise with the help of a nutritionist. Theres also recipies in the book that help with a healthy diet. I haven't tried any of them yet though :)

The book is dedicated to Michael. Janet calls him Mike :) she also mentioned about doing a show called the Essence Music Festival and she was thinking about Michael when she performed Together Again and she felt Michael was with her at that moment.

Heres some pictures from the book

Its a good book and very interesting. Janet always thought her sister Rebbie was beautiful and she wanted to look like her. But Janet didnt realise how beautiful she was herself. But I guess when she looked in the mirror she thought different. Its not a biig book about 200+ pages. Its not too expensive in the UK although in Ireland I seen different prices for it. Theres recipies at the back which I must try.
