I think it's a nice idea cause of the joy when somebody has spent some time to send you something and to receive it in your mail box. It's so much nicer than ecards.
I requested to Michael's postcards, postcards with animals, landscapes especially with water, views from their city or country or some funny cards. I also asked them to translate "I love you" in their own language on the back of their card. Some other ppl request also to tell about their day or what song they suggest to listen, movie to watch or book to read, or what they like about their city.
And no one really expect you to reply.
I just think it is a nice thing to do. Maybe this will be the beginning of me starting to collect different postcards
