VIDEO: Michael Autotuned To Create “Take Me Away”
British recording artist Nathan Jay – has taken Michael Jackson’s voice and created an interesting tribute whereby Michael’s voice has been autotuned to create a new song.
Previously featuring the sampled voice of Michael Jackson. Removed due to polite request from The Official MJ OnlineTeam. The non-sketched part of the video is what I was going to trace/draw for the finished version, which will now unlikely to happen.
I am quoting a section of the email to explain why I have removed the previous videos, I am not denying they have a point: "... and while we appreciate your creativity, what you have done is not only illegal but is not a tribute to Michael. To take his songs and edit them to have Michael singing something he didn't himself choose to sing is not authentic to Michael or his legacy. Just as we (and I am sure you!) wouldn't want someone to edit Michael's spoken words to create statements he didn't speak himself, the same should not be done with his songs. Because the Estate does value your support of Michael, we would suggest that you remove these videos of your own volition, as when Sony discovers them (and they are very vigilant, so it is not "if" they discover them), they will file infringement claims and have them taken down. We have seen entire channels be shut down by YouTube in these instances.
We understand that you may have had the best intentions with this project, but "putting words in Michael's mouth" is not true to his art, original intention, or legacy."
It sounds strange but I have to say it reminds me the modern music they play in the clubs. Lots of them are with autotune/ auto voice or whatever it is called. I don't like such music. But here I appreciate how it all can be put together. It may ask some time for sure to find correct work in such tone the mixer wants it to sound.
