On Monday, 23 May, US President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle visited Ireland.

Air Force One touched down in Dublin Airport shortly before 9.30am. The Obamas travelled by helicopter to Áras an Uachtaráin where they met President Mary McAleese and Dr McAleese before meeting Taoiseach Enda Kenny at Farmleigh House.

After a visit to the US Embassy in Ballsbridge, the Obamas travelled to Moneygall, Co Offaly. This small village is the ancestral home of Mr Obama and, despite the rain, both he and Michelle shook almost every hand in the crowd before drinking a pint of Guinness in the local.

Just before 6pm after a short helicopter trip back to Dublin, the US President delivered a rousing 20-minute speech to thousands of people at College Green concluding with 'is féidir linn' - the Irish version of his 2008 campaign slogan 'yes we can.

The Obamas attended a dinner with the US Ambassador to Ireland, Dan Rooney, before departing Ireland earlier than scheduled for Britain, due to the Icelandic ash cloud.

How the hell the car could stuck like that? sooo funny hahah I wonder what did they do? Did President had to step put of the car?

They said that the car got stuck on a ramp at the gate. Im wonderingif something underneath the car hit it. Do you know that this car carried the presidents blood and oxygen and its bulletproof. Also tear gas can come out of the front of it. Obama is in London now and they are wonder if the car he has now is the same as the one in Dublin. The car is called The Beast. I can see why now

I've read there wasn't president in the car though.

At first it was thought to be Barack Obama's special car but it was a spare limo, carrying staff and support personnel. Seemedly the president left by another exit. But it took 3 hours to get the car moved from where it was.
