Its this time of year when thoughts turn to the Eurovision and what entries there will be this year. On Friday last Ireland choose there entry for the competition. They are called Jedward and they are twins who were in the X-Factor competition in 2009. They are also massive MJ fans and are not afraid to show there love for Michael.

We didn't have out national contest yet. I think it will be next weekend :)

I don't really like the song above. It gets boring in the end cause there is too much chorus.

I think I know where they got inspired for their hairstyles :lol

We were going to send a slower song but a lot of teenagers voted for this one because these guys are popular here. So I am not surprised that they got through. They are also popular in the UK so I guess some teenagers will vote for them there.

I wouldn't want them to sing in Latvian. I think we sang in Latvian only once. The reason I don't want us to sing in Latvian is cause others will not understand lyrics. I hardly ever like singers in Eurovision singing in some language I don't know cause I can't understand the song.

Most countries sing in English anyway and its better so the rest of understand what they are saying :lol.

This is a funny video from the Eurovision and the things that went wrong

Do hosts in other countries really diss others on TV like "this is pathetic"? Our host doesn't do that really

During the UK version they do diss others. Thats because in some countries they dont really take it seriously.

hi :)

I have just finished watching the 1st semifinal of Eurovision :)

there were many nice songs, but I liked most the songs of Greece, Portugal and Georgia :)

pity that Portugal didn't make it to the final

I didn't like the song of Russia so much...

I was biking with a friend to watch sunset. She has a name day today. So I didn't watch. But I will watch in Thursday when Latvia will sing. I don't really like this decision to have Eurovision on 3 days. That takes the whole evening with so many bad songs and I wouldn't want 3 full evenings spent in front of TV watching bad songs. I only watch when Latvia is singing and maybe also the final, the real contest.

Did Greece entered? I saw a fragment in the end.

I also heard that Israel will be represented by Dana International who won contest some years ago.

yes, Greece entered :)

Turkey didn't enter, which was a surprise

this year there weren't any bad songs so far (in my opinion)

the first semifinal was really nice :)

it had some average songs, and some good ones, but no bad songs :)

I will watch Eurovision all three evenings (I usually do) :)

I watched some of last nights show although the sound from the presenter was very bad I thought he was on the phone lol :lol. Ireland is Thursday night too and I hope Jedward get through. They were doing a press conference and they shouted out Michael Jackson. They were also wearing military style jackets.
