I was just wondering if anyone here has ordered anything from BravadoUSA? They sell official Michael Jackson merchandise and they used to operate in the UK but they dont seem to now. Last night I was looking at some t-shirts they have and I was going to order from them. But was wondering if anyone here has. Are they are good?

I wanted to. But I never managed to find out the shipping price to my country so I was afraid if I would order, they would ask me to pay the same amount in shipping as well and that would be too much :o

I would like to order some Tshirts :(

I've ordered few things from them.
And I had to pay toll to get the items. So it meant double the price for me.

Ok. That's just what we call it. It's import tax and fees and sales tax.

It's not fun to pay. But it's not stupid :)
If everybody could import anything they wanted cheaper than they could buy it at home. Then how fast do you think the world would change? :)
There is a reason they have to charge sales tax in the shops.
The import tax is really low. Usually 0-7% Lots of things have 0% import tax. It's the sales tax that is the highest fee.

Do you think it's about where to buy cheaper? Usually the price to things you can get in Latvia is more expensive in foreign shops which is understandable thinking about living conditions elsewhere. The Books, BluRays or DVDs I am buying is not on sale in Latvia so there is no other way how I can buy them other than online. So the stupid government figured out one more time how to take money from citizens and stuck it in their pocket :ranting

It's a good thing.
Imagine if everybody would start importing. Then they would get no money and they would have to find the money some place else.

well yeah, they could look for money from their own pockets and bribes. :ranting Prices are going higher, taxes are going higher, gass went higher for 45% just in one year, transportation is going higher. What else? Should we also pay for the air we breath? My friend told is right - soon we will need to pay just cause we want to leave house :huh And where that money goes? On fixing roads that never are fixed? Have you seen roads in Latvia?! :o Or on that the most expensive bridge in Europe?

Be realistic instead.
Prices are always going up.
And that's no way near the most expensive bridge. It's kind of cheap.

Yes, and wages also are going up or at lest staying the same BUT DEFINITELY NORMALLY NOT GOING DOWN!!! You are just living in your country where you don't have such big problems as other countries like Latvia or Greece. So you think it's very normal. Try to live in any of the countries I've mentioned :o

You had to read the news 2 or 1 years ago. It is the most expensive bridge in Eirope. Besides, how do you know which bridge I am talking about?

It's very normal for wages to go down.
It depends on many things.
We had to pay more tax from last year.
Suddenly you had to pay extra tax if you use a phone or laptop at work.
Also they want to take away the pension here. We will have the highest pension age in Europe.
And they decided that you have to pay tv-tax even if you don't own a tv.

I don't think there are any countries without problems.
And it's also really expensive to live in capitals.
Like I would have to pay double to live in Copenhagen. Who can afford that?

There are not many bridges in Riga.
And even the Danish bridges are about double the price.
You probably can cross that bridge for free.
Try building a bridge and force any car to pay 30 pound just to pass, when it's the only way.

Funny you mentioned that cause I've heard they were talking about that as well :huh

Well I don't think any of this is normal. While government is going to Havaii for vacation.

Well I don't think any of this is normal. While government is going to Havaii for vacation.
But as I can see, you should have many other bridges to use.
Here it's the only way to get from my place to Copenhagen if I don't wan to pay double to use a ferry.
They even said they only wanted to charge until the bridge was paid. But then they saw it was a nice amount of money they got and why not continue.
It's very easy to find problems with your own country.
Our current government also promised tax-stop, so we voted for them. And of course we couldn't afford it, so now we have to pay a lot more back. Nice...
And some of them even decided to go on private vacation than to meet the US president and other important people.

And while I remember. Our gas-prices are also up around 40% in few months.

Yes. They calculate by length and say it's the most expensive bridge by km/miles.
But it's a weird way to calculate. It's not like if you would triple it's length, it would triple the price.

It's like they say we have the longest bridge in the world. (of this special type).
