So I was standing in line waiting for my turn to get to Corel courses (although I don't understand why they don't offer Illustrator, I like it better).

The first day is next week and there will be some kind of exam to enter. If I get in then the courses will last till March.

I know Corel, yes (at least I knew till I started to work with Illustrator lol ). But I know that I don't know enough. I want to learn more and get answers on my questions about vector :D

Whats Corel? I'm learning Sage Accounts Software package. I did it before but that was only a 2 day course. This one has an exam at the end of it.

What is Sage Accounts Software package? lol

Corel is pretty much the same as Adobe. But I think it was more based on vector before and then came photo edits. With Adobe it was otherway.

Sage is a computerized accounts software. It also calculates Payroll and wages. A lot of companies use it.

Is Corel cheaper than Adobe to buy? Im thinking of getting an illustrator programme for my pc :)

I have no idea. Normal ppl in here don't buy programs cause the price is not for the living conditions in Latvia. But if you want to buy then I suggest you to get Illustrator. Although I am not really sure why you need it. Photoshop also can do basic things than Illustrator can only that will not be in vector but pixels. But you don't need to make logos and stuffs anyway ;)

I passed the test and I am starting courses from tomorrow. They start 9am every working day and they are 3 hours long and will end in March.

But the things that troubles me is my time :o I am waking up, going to courses, I am home around 1pm, eat and I have only 4-5 hours to work :o after that I have either web design courses or rehearsal and am at home around 10pm. I make food and almost after that it's time to go to sleep :o

I just hope that I will not many rehearsals in Wednesdays and Thursdays or else clients would need to wait weeks till I finish their order :o

If I wouldn't have anything to do then I wouldn't call myself freelance artist lol Yes in fact at the moment I am very busy. I have like 3 works for me waiting to do right now.

it's graphics, banners and drawings traditional and digital. Right now I have to do typographic things (that means that the pic is made from letters or numbers. something like this http://llvllagic.dev...t.com/#/d32j2lo) and one traditional drawing.

What really gets on my nerves is the way my comp acts. Some of what I do will go to printing and that means I have to do it in high resolution so the pic is huuuuuuge and my comp works so slow :( Besides, it seems like my hardware doesn't like Windows 7 according to computer guy in my bf's work. The screen just flashes in light green and pink colors or freezes and I can't do anything. So he advised me to go back to Windows Vista 64 :( And I also plan to buy some more memory (RAM) so it would work faster.

With the last work I did I made some action in Photoshop and then I opened a book and started to read while comp finished to do what I just told him to do lol I am so not pleased with that. It takes me 3 times more to finish the work. So if I want to work with that I need to upgrade the comp. Maybe also some better video card. The comp guy said Photoshop doesn't work with Nvidia video card very well. There's another video card that would be better for Photoshop.

Yes. Graphics will be hard on the computer. But please stay away from Vista :) It was a big failure for Microsoft. Windows 7 works much better and demands less of the computer.
You should have at least 4GB of Ram.
I don't think there should be any problems with the newer Nvidia cards, but I would prefer Ati cards for graphics.

If I will still keep getting those flash screens then I wouldn't have any choice but switch to Vista :(

I have 2GB RAM but I am planing to get 2 more if I have place to stick it, haven't checked yet.

Those flashes doesn't sound like a software failure. And should have nothing to do about which windows you are using.
Just get 2x2GB. It will just be a waste to buy 1GB modules.
