La Toya Jackson, Dionne Warwick, Star Jones Among New Celeb Apprentice Cast
The upcoming season of "The Celebrity Apprentice" will have a strong musical influence, with seven of the 16 contestants announced Friday having ties to the recording industry, including La Toya Jackson, Dionne Warwick and 1970s teen idol David Cassidy.
Other contestants on the NBC competition series include rapper Lil Jon; rock musician Meat Loaf, Sugar Ray frontman Mark McGrath and country singer- songwriter John Rich.
Like in the three previous versions of "The Celebrity Apprentice," the teams will be divided along gender lines.
The other female contestants are 2010 Playboy Playmate of the Year Hope Dworaczyk, television personality Star Jones, "Real Housewives of Atlanta" cast member NeNe Leakes, actresses Marlee Matlin and Lisa Rinna and model Niki Taylor.
The other male contestants are actor Gary Busey, former baseball star Jose Canseco and Richard Hatch, the initial winner of the CBS competition series "Survivor."
"The Celebrity Apprentice" will air Sundays from 9-11 p.m. beginning March 6.
