This video was shot in Miami by Hamid Moleshi, Michael Jackson's cameraman and is brought to you under the fair use doctrine by http://www.elusiveshadow.com.
The singer was being interviewed by the British journalist Martin Bashir. Unfortunately, most of the footage remained unreleased when the final documentary, "Living With Michael Jackson", was broadcast. This extract wasn't featured either in the rebuttal video "Take 2 : The Footage You Were Never Meant To See".
As Michael's friends or "so-called friends" continue to share memories of him in the media, we thought it was necessary to "give voice to the voiceless", as Michael Jackson himself loved to say.
You can listen to Michael Jackson talking about happiness, about how sensitive and lonely he is. He even quotes the words of Oscar Hammerstein in "The Sound Of Music" : "Rain drops on roses, whiskers on kittens, bright copper kettles, warm woolen mittens, brown paper packages tied up with strings, these are a few of my favorite things".
A sincere insight into what his personality was made of.

It feels like this question "Are you happy?" is very important for me. This is what I am asking all the time "Michael, were you happy in your life time? We you happy in the end?" like happy as a person in life, not as performer. It feels like this question and its answer that I will never know is torturing me. It feels like if I find out the answer then I will be able to let it go or go through it. But thinking about his life, I can't stop thinking what he had to go through and what was it like and I am afraid he wasn't happy and it worries me. Although I couldn't do anything about it. But he made so many ppl happy, for the cost of his own happiness?

That means that while filming there was 7 lamps to illuminate Michaels face to make video picture good, without shadows. That ment that Michael is happy only being on stage (in the spotlight).

You know, I looked at Michael`s movements and listened to his voice really carefully to understand what he feels answering this question. And I think he meant what he said. He believed he was happy.
I think happiness is extent to which person accepts all that he is, he had done, he has at the moment. So it gives a feeling of inner peace and self acceptance. I know that Michael worked hard to accept himself. I know that he could succeed better but it feels like he could live with that he had although it was not easy. So ambivalent feelings, but it`s a human nature

Yes I agree with that. But that is exactly what I ment by "He believed he was happy". I think that he could accept himself more on cognitive level, not emotional. I think that allegations changed his feelings about the world and his place in it. I believe he never felt secure anymore. That can steal away smile and sleep and give an anxiety that he had.
But! He had his children and that is on the other scale pan. And that changes a lot. Life is never smooth and completely happy. He compensated his hurts to some extend. And that is why I think he believed he was happy. Because he had fulfilled moments in his present, but hurt was deep inside. So ambivalent as I said.

But it did. I like to think that person never gets more than he can go through. I caught myself on thinking of Michael as of person who was not able to influence things lately. I think those were my own feelings about his death and trials and everything. But he was not helpless, no way! So he had to go through what he went through, because it was his life. (doesn`t mean that I support all the Chandlers, Arvizos, Snedons and Murrays).
