I wrote this when I was on the country side. It was dark and it rained. My mom was in another room. I went on the balcony and listened how it rained. Somewhere far away I saw the bonfire. It was very quite and the words suddenly came to me very easy. It made me cry while writing this.

The poem is written in Latvian so it's better for ppl who knows Latvian as it rhymes better. The translation will be below.

Skumjas

Debesis raud
Ugunskurs deg
Šai naktī mani domas citur ved

Mēnesis duss
Viss ir tik kluss
Tik skumjas apkārt var just

Tevis vairs nav
Ko gaidīt vēl
Un man ir tik ļoti žēl

Asaras skrien
Pār vaigiem vien
Un sāpes sirdī nepāriet

Ko darīt mums
Kas par Tevi skumst
Asaras ir lietus, kas tagad līst

Kur esi Tu
Es Tevi sajūtu
Tomēr redzēt Tevi es nespēju

Sadness

Sky is crying
Bonfire burning
In this night my thoughts take me somewhere else

Moon is sleeping
Everything is so quite
Just sadness around can be sensed

You are no more
To waiting for
And I am so very sorry

Tears are running
Over my cheecks
Pain is my heart doesn't stop

What should we do
Who miss you
Tears are the rain that rains in this moment

Where are you
I still feel you
Although I am failing to see you

I almost cried while reading this... Beautiful poem. :flowers In my opinion, the English version is also good. P.S. My poems were worse. :blush
