My dearest friends, on Wednesday 4th of August and on Thursday 5th of August (depending in which time zone you belong) it will be 40 since Michael left.

According to a local tradition, which I think exists in lots of other countries too, after 40 days the soul begins its great journey to a new better world, to a new better life.

As support and resources for this journey it needs the prayers, memories and thoughts of the people who have known and loved this person. That’s why the most important memorial (after the funeral) is conducted the last Sunday before the 40th day. And at least in my country treats are also offered during this day in memory of the beloved departed.

That’s why I would like to ask any of you who believe in these things to pray for Michael anyway you want and think suitable and if possible to do something nice for someone else in memory of our Michael, helping him in this way to his great and difficult journey and wishing him eternal memory, everlasting peace and to soon join the angels in heaven.

I didn`t count which day will be 40th, but today the whole day I had a feeling that today is important day...then in the evening I counted...it`s 40th day...Sure I will pray, and I`m sending good memories to Michael, whereve he is now...

Since I came back from country side where I found peace and harmony I thinking about Michael all the time and praying for him. I knew 40 days will past now. I know the believe is the soul leaves this world but somehow I feel like part of it will stay with us forever, at least I would wish to believe that.

Yesterday when I was going through some pictures of Michael I came across a picture which was taken during his thriller years and he looked so beautiful. I started to cry and I asked God why Michael was taken from us so soon, then suddenly I heard a voice which said that Michael wasn't gone at all.The only thing that happened is that his physical being has seperated from his spiritual being, physically Michael is dead but his spirit is still very much alive! In fact all of us fans who have never net him are closer to him now that we ever were when he was alive. This is because now everytime we pray or talk to God about Michael its guaranteed that our prayers and messages will reach Michael directly ! Because he is right there with God listening to us. When he was alive he never really knew how much we loved him because he couldn't get to everyone in the world, now he is able to see the magitude of our love for him because he is seeing us as God sees us! Even though I miss him so much I know that he is watching me and he knows that in the UK there is a girl called Clara that loves him more than words can say, thats comforting to me.

Chiko I love what you have just written. In Ireland its slightly different. Here a soul isnt rested until October 31st when we celebrate all the people who died during the year. On that day spirits are not in heaven just yet but are preparing to go there. After that day the spirit is in Heaven and is at peace

In Latvia Halloween is a day where souls come to visit their loved ones. It is believed they can communicate with you. Or something like that

Today it is 3 months since Michael left this grey world full of injustice, which now without Michael looks quite darker to me.

In my country it is a custom to have another memorial for the daerest departed on the 3-month anniversary of their passing away. All relatives and friends and people who loved this person gather to the place of his rest (or if not possible to another religious place or place of special spiritual importance)and they remember of the person, the most remarkable events of his life and the qualities of his charachter and the influence he had to their lives. They also pray for him to rest in peace, in the light near God and not to forget who he was and also not to forget of the people whom he loved and care when he was living, so that he will recognise them when they meet again.

So I will pray for Michael's soul today that he may be happy, that he may be in the light which becomes him so.

And I would like to ask you (any of you who believe in the afterlife and these things)to also pray for Michael and for his family, who miss him so much, and to have a moment to reflect on who Michael has been and on the goods he has done for this world and the good influence he has had on all of us.

We don't have such tradition but it is nice to remember Michael so I will join the prayer. I will light a candle for him tonight I still remember him every day and I wish him to be happy there

it feels right to talk to a dead person its give a chance to say goodbey and keep this person alive in your heart/ membmeries
