2009 - A spokesman for the Los Angeles County coroner said there were no signs of foul play in the autopsy of Michael Jackson and further tests would be needed to determine cause of death.
2009 - U.S. House Representative Sheila Jackson Lee introduced a resolution to honor Michael Jackson. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi ended the possibility of a resolution on July 9. She stated it was unnecessary and that because debate on the symbolic measure could raise "contrary views" about the pop star's life.

2009 - The BET Awards were aired. Most of the show was a tribute to the life of Michael Jackson who had died on June 25.
2009 - Judge Mitchell Beckloff granted Katherine Jackson, Michael Jackson's mother, temporary guardianship of his children. He did not immediately rule on her requests to take charge of the children's and Jackson's estates.

1984 - Motown reported that it had shipped 2 million copies of the Jackson's "Victory" album.
2005 - Michael Jackson and his three children arrived in Bahrain for a vacation. It was Jackson's first trip overseas since being acquitted of child molestation charges. It was said that he was a guest of Sheik Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the king's son. Sheik Abdullah is believed to be a friend of Jermaine Jackson.

2009 - Heavy construction equipment and workers passed through the wrought-iron gates of Neverland Ranch. The activity fueled speculation that Neverland could soon be hosting a funeral or a permanent memorial to Michael Jackson.

2002 - Michael Jackson said, "The recording companies really, really do conspire against the artists - they steal, they cheat, they do everything they can." Jackson was speaking at the Rev. Al Sharpton's National Action Network in Harlem.
2004 - In Santa Barbara, CA, Michael Jackson's lawyer Robert Sanger filed a motion which asked County Judge Rodney Melville to throw out the indictment against Jackson for child molestation. The motion was made public the next day and was planned to be addressed in court on July 27.

2004 - The judge in the Michael Jackson child-molestation case ordered the prosecutor to take the stand and explain a raid on a private investigator's office.
