1987 - Michael Jackson made another offer for the bones of John Merrick. He was refused again.
1995 - Michael Jackson released "HIStory: Past, Present & Future Book 1."
1995 - Michael Jackson released a statement that apologized for the seemingly anti-semitic lyrics in the song "They Don't Care About Us."

1992 - Frank Paul Jones was arrested in the driveway of the Jackson family compound in Encino, CA. He believed he was the husband of Janet Jackson. He was committed to a mental hospital on October 13 after being charged with stalking, making terroristic threats and trespassing.
1995 - Michael Jackson was presented an award for his humanitarian work at the VH1 Honors. The award was later renamed the "Michael Jackson Special Award."

1984 - Motown reported that it had shipped 2 million copies of the Jackson's "Victory" album.
2005 - Michael Jackson and his three children arrived in Bahrain for a vacation. It was Jackson's first trip overseas since being acquitted of child molestation charges. It was said that he was a guest of Sheik Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the king's son. Sheik Abdullah is believed to be a friend of Jermaine Jackson.
