1990 - Michael Jackson's album "Thriller" was certified 21 times Platinum by the RIAA.
1997 - Michael Jackson's album "Blood On The Dance Floor" hit #1 in the U.K. This version of the album included five new songs and eight remixes.
2005 - Jay Leno and Chris Tucker testified for the defense at Michael Jackson's child molestation trial.

2004 - It was reported that Joseph Jackson, Michael Jackson's father, had hired an attorney to keep him informed of the activities in the current legal proceedings (child molestation charges in Santa Barbara, CA) against his son Michael.
2005 - The defense rested in the Michael Jackson child molestation trial. The prosecution began its rebuttal.

1990 - "Billboard's" Music Of The '80s Poll honored Michael Jackson with Pop Album Of The Decade (Thriller), Black Artist Of The Decade, Black Album Of The Decade (Thriller) and Black Single Of The Decade (Billie Jean).
1994 - Michael Jackson and Lisa Marie Presley were married in the Dominican Republic. They were divorced in January of 1996.

1975 - The Jackson 5 sign a new contract with Epic Records which will begin after the expiration of their current contract with Motown in March 1976. They cite low payments and lack of artistic control as some of their problems with Motown. Jermaine, who married Berry Gordy's daughter Hazel remains in Motown to pursuit a solo careeer and he is replaced by Randy in the Jackson 5 who change their name to "The Jacksons".
1988 - "Get It" by Steve Wonder and Michael Jackson from Steve Wonder's album "Characters" enters the Top 100 singles chart in UK and remains there for four weeks. It peaks at number 37.

1987 - Michael Jackson bid $50,000 for the remains of John Merrick, the Elephant Man. Later, Jackson double his offer. Both offers were refused by the London Hospital. Jackson later denied the events took place in a 1993 interview with Oprah Winfrey.

2004 - Los Angeles Lieutenant Art Miller said in a written statement that "on May 28, 2004, detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department's Juvenile Division officially concluded their two-month investigation into allegations of child abuse against Michael Jackson. After an extensive investigation, which included hours of interviews with the person making the allegations, detectives concluded there was no evidence that any crime occurred. No charges will be sought." The charges were unrelated to the charges in Santa Barbara, CA.

1990 - Michael Jackson was admitted to St. John's Hospital in Santa Monica after complaining of chest pains. Test showed that he had bruised ribs from dance practice.
1992 - Crystal Cartier filed a $40 million federal lawsuit against Michael Jackson, Sony Music Entertainment, MJJ Productions and Epic Records. She alleged that she originally wrote and recorded "Dangerous."
2005 - Jurors in the Michael Jackson child molestation trial began deliberating the fate of Jackson.
