Jackson will Perform "Spectacular New Songs" in Concert!
The news keeps getting better for Michael Jackson fans. Randy Phillips of AEG Live announced to CNN, on video, that "Michael Jackson's going to do all the hits--the way people want to see it, with some fabulous new productions that we're in the process of designing." Even more importantly, Phillips confirmed that "there will be a couple of new songs and some new music, which I've heard, and it's spectacular. There's a reason he's the King of Pop!"
In related news, a spokesperson for AEG Live confirmed that the official concert site, MichaelJacksonLive.com, has been receiving an astonishing 16,000 hits per second which has made it difficult to keep the site functioning. Presale tickets are expected to be officially up for grabs starting March 13th. Some third party ticket venues have already began selling "guaranteed" tickets for when they become available, but MJJR.net encourages fans to proceed with extreme caution if ordering tickets from any third party venue especially when the official sales date hasn't commenced.

AEG CEO Speaks About MJ
(5-3-09) Tim Leiweke, the President and CEO of AEG, said that Michael Jackson will probably play 20-25 shows at the O2.
"We’ll announce 10 shows. I think you'll see 20, 25 dates at the O2. His production budget is... Wow."
Leiweke, who was speaking during his keynote Q&A session at the Billboard Music & Money Symposium at the St. Regis Hotel in New York City, also said that the King of Pop is very focused and had been dragged through the mud,
The man is very sane, the man is very focused, the man is very healthy. I think he has been dragged through the mud. Despite everything you read about him, he was fine. The man took a physical for us to go do these concerts."
Leiweke also admitted that it has taken some time to get Jackson to agree to the deal, stating that they had worked with Jackson for two years to make him comfortable with the idea. When asked why the O2 was chosen he stated,
It's the most important venue in music today. With all due respect to the Staples Center and the [Madison Square] Garden, the O2 is where you went to see Led Zeppelin reunite."

Randy Phillips, president and chief executive of AEG Live, told The Times that the ten London concerts would mark the first step of a three-year tour and the release of a new album. He said: “Surviving the press conference was the first step. We've a three-year plan for Michael Jackson and if it all goes well we will gross $400 million (£280million) in total.”
He confirmed that the singer could earn “probably something pretty close to” £50 million for the London shows. Future tours are likely to involve trips to New York, Paris and Mumbai.
