Btw, ppl in this forum reading this post! This movement play we have now is very fitting in foreign festivals since it doesn't have a text. So if you want us to go to your area or your country, pls find out some amateur theatre festivals, Student theatre festivals, University theatre festivals, amateur movement theatre festivals and let me know. It would be great to have some info or home pages of those festivals. And we will see if we can apply for it :)

it's not good to know only when it happens cause usually we have to apply 6 months before the festival happens :)

Ok I didnt know about the 6 month thing you never said.

This link for the Irish Theatre Institute maybe helpful

http://www.irishtheatreinstitute.com/

There are many arts festivals in Ireland mostly in the summer time. THe links below are of some of them and they are annual events. Maybe if you came with your festival Zoi might come as well and maybe Laura too :D

It depends on festival application rules. In the period of time they told we have to send our application with the video etc, and they look through all applications and accept the ones they like. It's not like they accept all. There maybe 100 theatres applying to one festival and they may choose just 20.

Sharon, are you sure those are amateur theatre festivals? I haven't found word amateur mentioned in any of descriptions :dontknow You have to understand we are not professional theatre, we are amateur theatre and we can participate in amateur festivals. Professional festivals are for professional theatres ;)

Zoi, can you look into these sites if the festivals are international, annual and if they are for amateur groups? I can't see their English versions :confused

I looked through the site and there isn't really anything. Any of the drama festivals seem to be for groups in Ireland only. :sigh It's mostly music festivals where I am, sadly.

Tomorrow we have theatre 65 years anniversary celebration and we have made special program where we will be singing, dancing, showing videos and fragments from old plays. I am singing 3 songs and playing in the fragment from Blood Wedding. The fragment is very hard for us cause it's full of pain (imagine two lovers died) and emotions, most of it negative emotions cause I am being hated by mother of one of lovers who died and she blames me. The scene was always hard for us both to play. Whenever we were playing it before, director stood still and wasn't interrupting us with her marks and other actors didn't also whisper or made any sounds and even if yesterday director or ppl in rehearsal were different it happened again, no one moved, no one made any sound. Usually there were few seconds after the scene in rehearsal when no one said anything and it was the same yesterday. Finally director said "Thank you, girls, for bringing back faith for art of theatre to me." And it is a big compliment from this director cause he rarely say something nice to us :blush

you are indeed very good in the Blood Wedding :flowers

I have watched it from many theatre teams, even professional ones, but your theatre was easily the best one :)
