I still don't have theatre thread in here. So I will write here about my theatre or will post pics. :) Hope you will not be bored

Today we were performing Blood Wedding out of Riga's city, 1 hour away from Riga in some culture club. They were celebrating 95 anniversary or something. We had our play 2pm and it wasn't so good as we wanted but it's ok as it wasn't any important performance there. If we go to play somewhere else rather than on our stage then we take time to accept the stage as all stage has its own feeling. But here we had time only on building a very little rehearsal. So that's why I didn't feel anything special, like it's not my stage, I couldn't accept the stage. But in the end after escaping scene something changed. In the last scene I let emotions so deep inside me that I started to cry on stage. After 1st sentence I felt like my voice will start shaking if I will keep crying and no one will be able to understand what I say. So I tried to keep myself away from story and could contain my voice. But I heard somebody were crying in audience I think it's very sweet if we can make such emotions for audience :)

I were so tired emotionally and physically in the end that I slept all way to Riga and now I am also thinking of going to sleep very soon as tomorrow is rehearsal again.

We don't have costumes in poster cause we wanted to be ourselves on the poster as this play is very personal for us. We are not Bride, Bridegroom, Leonardo etc but we are real persons. :)

I didn't like yesterday's rehearsal. We all were already tired and were fooling around and joking. This scares me today cause we didn't have real rehearsal yesterday but I feel I need them.

Being tired is always a little bad. But you are so good to this play.

How do you knoq :giggle In Saturday's play I was mixing up texts 3 times :o :cryin I can't forget that. I mean, I know the texts. It's inside me. I can even tell them in the middle of the night. I have no idea why I mixed up, it just went out on auto pilot :(

Yes, actually he is pretty good. He had so less rehearsals but he could understand everything from the very beginning. Ppl tell he is better than ex Bridegroom. In some ways/ places I also can feel he is better. The old Bridegroom will come to see the play in Thursday. That's weird lol

so you have had 2 Bridegrooms that is so cool :) wouldnt happen in real life but then again maybe it would :)

One of the greatest things to play theatre is you can enjoy things you couldn't in real life :hot

I cam home from performance. As always I feel terrible although the play was great but emotions from the play still exist in me. Our director said we did a good job. Lots of ppl came. Also Jib and his gf came :) And audience called us out with applause more often than usual :)

Jury didn't come today. That means they will come in Monday :)

I just found out Blood Wedding got in the biggest Latvia's festival which also gets media's attention. We're playing in 21st March. The award ceremony is in 22nd March. I am not sure what ppl will be in jury yet. More info I left in here:

So there is news in our theatre.

In the past few years we have a big event in Riga called Museum Night. Lots os ppl visit the event. Lots of museums is opened till 1am and for free. They make all kind of attractions in museums and also on the street. This year our theatre was invited to do some performances as well and they gave us Soviet Union time theme. We came up with 3 performances:

1st... In Soviet Union the radio began with Soviet Latvia anthem. After the anthem the voice said "Good Morning, dear people (well there are special word in Latvian and Russian that everyone were called in Soviet Union, can't really translate it in English), let's start morning work out..." The music with piano starts and the voice tells what to do ""Stand stil. On one left arm up, on 2 right arm up, on 3 strething up, on 4 stretch down, on 5 beginning position. Let's start. 1 and 2 and 3... very good.... 5 and 1 and 2... keep going" So we will do pretty the same :lol the work out is really funny :lol I am going to take a part in it as well. Will have some gym clothes and 20 mins of work out, once in hour and so totally for 6 hours. I will not be able to move in Sunday :lol

2nd part. It contains from two scenes and 1 song. 1st scene is student dorms. Few ppl playing cards, drinking vodka and time to time killing cockroaches that is passing by. 1 person cooking and 2 persons trying to steal food. I am changing in this time. After this scene we have a song break where we as a choir sing on phonogram on of my fav songs in Russian, from my childhood. I wanted to take a part in this very much :D After the song is the 2nd scene while I have one more break. 2nd scene is about work. They are building some wall and later gluing wallpaper. Hard to explain.

3rd part contains from a parade where we all attend. We march through the area and audience are welcomed to march together with us. We also carry some old flags.


Then we again start with the first part, 2nd part, 3 part and keeping to this program till 1am :faint

I'm not even sure why I agreed with this :lol

Ok, I am not expecting anyone to care much about it or to understand it. Just wanted to write it down.

If I wouldn't be me I wouldn't want to live with me. Or with any actor or any musician probably. Maybe that's why me and my bf have relationships problems cause he doesn't understand me after any performances. Performance takes EVERYTHING from me. In Sunday when we needed to do those things for 6 hours, I was starting to be pissed out already after smiling, talking with ppl, trying them to get involved in things. After 3 hours smiling, the smile appeared automatically after I left the dressing room (we had to change clothes 10 times I think). As soon as I entered the dressing room, the face felt just like falling down. But as soon as you're with public you need to cheer and everything. What does it leaves inside you then? Emptiness. I give everything on stage that there is not anything left to give for my friends after. Most of the times after that I just want ppl let me alone or just understand me and comfort me, or just talk about some important and meaningful things. Even a hug is much! Plus I get twice as emotional after. Like yesterday I cried 3 times, 2 of them while watching 2 different movies.

Ppl just may think what's so hard with it, but it is. Mentally hard. As ppl can't understand it, I try to not contact with them much, trying to either watch TV, read the book, browse the net or draw.
